Message From Sutton Cricket Committee

23 May 2023

Dear Adam, We're writing to you today to address the matter relating to the reimbursement of Sean Faulkner's kit. Firstly, on behalf of the Sutton Cricket Committee, we would like to apologise for any miss-communication that may have occurred & the delay in writing to you. Originally, it was brought to the committee's attention 8th April 2023 with the proposal of ordering Sean a playing top totalling £40.84, to which the committee unanimously agreed. It was most surprising that when the bill was raised to the committee 24th April, costing a total of £168.70 with no prior warning of additional kit being potentially ordered. To which, as you are aware, the committee originally refused a full reimbursement. The Cricket Committee is very appreciative of your enthusiasm and efforts to ensure the club has a warm welcoming environment. From taking over as 2nd XI captain, to raising valuable funds with ball sponsors and providing the club with the metal crest. Which is why under consideration, the cricket committee have reversed the decision & are willing to reimburse you £107.52 for the remainder of Sean's kit (Playing Jumper, Training top & Fleece). It is the committe's understanding that Adam Onion has kindly Purchased the Cap for Sean, please get back to the committe if this isn't the case. Steve Hughes (club treasurer) will be in contact you in due course to arrange payment. To ensure a repeat of this doesn't occur again, please bring any purchase requests to a member of the committee so that the subject can be discussed and prior consent and funds can be granted. Committee members can be found on the notice board in the club foyer. The committee wishes to extend their gratitude for all that you have done for the club and we wish to continue working with you.
